Saturday 24th of April 2010, important day in Latvia. No, it’s not the royal dog’s birthday but the national cleaning up day. National, of course it was, and Radi Vidi Pats gathered various people to work together, to clean and repair. But Radi Vidi Pats had also foreign guests who helped to clean the beach and the surrounding area. Latvians and foreigners, together against the garbage! They didn’t resist us!

The cleaning up of the Republic of Vites Iela will be in two mains directions:

1) To collect garbage near the Swan pond (Vites and Hikes streets) moving to seaside (near Bath house)

2) To improve Vides Māja’s outside space: to plant grass, to clean the yard, to extend the stage, to sort garbage, to make compost boxes and birdhouses and garden plantation.

Youngsters from Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Hungary, Romania will also take part to the cleaning up activity, so everyone who will participate in cleaning up of “Vides Maja” will be part of the international team.
