1st Article
The competition is open for young people between 15 and 30 years, resident in one of the European countries, who did any kind of volunteer service abroad between January 2008 and January 2011.
2nd article
Everyone can partecipate by sending a piece of writing which has been inspired by the experience. It can be written in any form (reportage, story, diary, poetry, etc.) The work has to be sent in the WORD (.doc) .) until the 01.02. 2011 to this e-mail: scriptamanent@europe.com
As you probably know, one big music festival took place in Salacgriva in july: POSITIVUS. This year, festival’s organizers made a special contest: each NGO willing to participate in the Positivus doing some workshops or activities has to apply writing a project. 39 organisations wrote that project, 6 were selected. And guess what? Radi Vidi Pats was one of those six lucky organisations!
The goal of the workshops we made during the Positivus festival was to make people aware of environmental and recycling issues in a funny and interesting way for them. We wanted to show that, with a little imagination, it’s possible to do a lot of things with garbage we are used to throw. We used some garbage or used things to reuse them in an original way and develop some activities around them. The main workshops we did were: TetraPak wallets, Poi-Poi with old socks and used tennis balls, Flower Sticks from broken inner rubber tubes or Juggle Balls with sand and balloons. Continue Reading »
